In our last article within the chakra series here on Mediums Too, we will explore the last of the seven main chakras, the Crown chakra or Sahasrara, often referred to as the lotus flower with a thousand petals, that speaks of the many ways we can connect to the divine.

So, let’s do a quick refresh for those that are unaware of our prior articles, each article, showcasing a particular chakra. We have been sharing about the seven main chakras, although, it is said, there are hundreds of chakras within the body. Chakras or energy centers are all aligned up the spine, beginning at the base with the Root chakra, next is the Sacral, then the Solar Plexus, the Heart, Throat, Third Eye and finally at the very top of the head, the Crown chakra.

Think of these individual energy centers each having a specific assignment, and are responsible for a different physical, emotional, and mental role. The Crown is the closest to the universe, the divine, the ultimate connection to the beyond. It has often been said, this is the connection in which our higher self can speak, communicate, and receive from the universal divine. The point of connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.

This chakra is associated with pure consciousness and spiritual transcendence, thus the image of the lotus flower with the many petals, when all the petals are open, this represents achievement of enlightenment. While we walk the path of life, enriching our experience with the unveiling of this chakra, we come to the age ole adage, which speaks of finding that place of peace, a peace that surpasses all human understanding. Thus touching the outer layers of the petals of this beautiful flower, only creates the desire to learn more.

Even as beautiful the feeling, the understanding, the creative flow of energy, the healing of the human soul, both physically and mentally… All can be exceeded, all can be taken away, and the reverse can happen with a blocked or out of balance Crown chakra. It can leave one confused, a feeling of being disconnected from the spiritual realm, unworthy, saddened, angry and unsure of one’s purpose in life. Over time just making matters worse, as the pot stews this negative mindset. It is important upon first noticing the unbalance or blockage, take the proper steps to gain function and union with the other chakras by exercise, diet, and healing stones such as Amethysts, clear quartz and other white, purple crystals.

The color associated with the crown is white/violet and the sound is AUM. Thus the white light of protection, and the violet a lighter version of the Third Eye chakra which is indigo. Often in meditation the white light or color can have hues of gold, or silver, which signify a spiritual, angelic realm.

So as we end this chakra series, think of waking up each morning, the Root chakra speaks of the inner survival of each and every day, couple that with the Sacral chakra that signifies our inner being, our self, next the Solar Plexus, as free will of decisions are made, captured, and played out each and every day. Never forget the Heart chakra as love makes the world go around, the unconditional love that we need to learn to share with one another, next always speak your truth with the Throat chakra, least we never forget the Third Eye chakra, seeing the unseen, the creative beauty that lies in the beholder. Be sure to always give thanks for all you have achieved, all you have been given, including life, be thankful, be blessed, and shine bright to the divine via the last chakra, the Crown!
